While Ramadan is a time to fast during the day, the nights are filled with celebration. Even in parts of the Muslim world where there is a lot of poverty, Muslims still feel great pressure to entertain their family and guests throughout the month.

Tajiks of European Diaspora

Tajikistan is one of the poorest countries in Central Asia. Almost one-third of the working population migrates to Europe seasonally and sends money back home to Tajikistan. Due to limited opportunities in Tajikistan, many young people strive to move to Europe for better work or education. These needs often feel more urgent to them than their spiritual need for new life in Jesus.

Let’s Pray

• Pray that Muslims who feel overwhelmed will run to Jesus.
• Pray for Tajik people to recognize their need for Jesus and turn to Him in faith. 
• Praise the Lord for valuing you with such love and attention.

Thank You, Lord, that You know every hair on the heads of all of the people You have created in Your image. I pray specifically for these who don’t know that the God of the universe cares about the details of their lives. When Muslims feel unseen, would You make a way for them to know that they are seen and that You have made a way for them to be adopted into Your family?
