Let’s Learn
Islam is considered by many to be the fastest-growing religion in the world. Some of the ways Islam is growing include high birth rates, migration, and radicalization. Muslims are in desperate need of Jesus, but many don’t know that God has already provided a way for them to be made right with Him. To Muslims who are striving to fast correctly during Ramadan, hoping to please Allah yet never knowing if they’ve done enough—the gospel really is good news.
Hui of China
The Hui of China are among the largest unreached people groups in the world. Out of over 11 million Hui in China, less than 2% follow Christ. They believe that to be Hui is to be Muslim, and turning to Christ would mean abandoning their ethnic identity. Muslim ancestry is important to the Hui. They trace their lineage to Arab Muslim traders who came to China’s port cities and over land on the Silk Road during the 7th-14th centuries. Today, Han Chinese Christians take the gospel to the Middle East by traveling the Silk Road, where many Hui still live.
From the Word
Mark 1:17-18
And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him.
Let’s Pray
Thank You, Father, for those who are already following You. I pray that You will raise up believers from China and other nearby cultures to take the gospel to those who have never heard the good news. Please allow whole families to hear and believe the amazing things You have done to bring them into a right relationship with You.
