Pray for the Eastern Jiarong
My husband often travels from our mountain village to Chengdu for work, while the children and I tend to the fields, especially during harvest, to keep our family afloat. Here at home, we live by Buddha’s teachings, and I teach my children to honor the ancestors who came before us. But each time my husband returns from the city, he brings back stories of Christmas and of a foreign teacher named Jesus. I worry that turning to these new ideas might anger our ancestors or set us apart from the rest of the village. And yet, I see the hope these stories give him, and I can’t help but wonder—what makes this Jesus different from the gods I have always followed?

Pray the gospel would make it’s way in power by the Holy Spirit to the Eastern Jiarong people.
Pray Chinese Christians would feel burdened to reach the Jiarong people living in the cities around them.
Pray for the hearts of the Jiarong people to feel conviction over their endless searching for peace and prosperity through meaningless practices and turn to Jesus for hope and salvation.
