Pray for Yangchen

I am a great-grandmother from a Lowa village located on the Tibetan plateau at 12,000 feet elevation. I am Tibetan Buddhist; I always will be. I work hard every day laboring in the field, taking care of the animals, and doing my prayers to keep the evil spirits away. I have heard about Jesus because my granddaughter is a follower of Jesus. Maybe the younger generations want to follow Jesus, but people my age do not change their ways.

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.” Isaiah 53:7

God, the Lowa people spend hours caring for their sheep and other animals. Use their deep connection with animals to help them recognize Jesus as both the Good Shepherd and the Lamb of God.

” And they cried out to the Lord and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord and have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth. But now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, that we may serve you.’ “ 1 Samuel 12:10

The Lowa people practice Tibetan-Buddhism to keep evils spirits away. Pray for God to deliver them from this bondage that they can serve Him.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to soften the hearts of the elderly to believe in Jesus as they watch the lives of the younger generation begin to worship Jesus.

Pray for Bible portions and gospel recordings on solar-powered devices for every family in the Lowa villages so that as they work, they can listen to the good news of Jesus.
